Jakob Haimberger studied physics at the technical university in Vienna. During his master he worked on automation software for low temperature thermal conductivity measurements. Since 2020 Jakob joined CERN as a doctoral student of TU Vienna, and his working both on the optimisation of the LHCb vertex locator layout for the Upgrade 2 and on the developement of silicon sensors for future detectors. In particular Jakob is currently working on the implementation of radiation damage in sensor simulations.
