Marius Mæhlum Halvorsen first joined CERN in 2019 as a technical student to work on timing properties of silicon detectors. His work was carried out with the LHCb VELO group and the SSD lab, which included both simulations and measurements.
After completion of his master's degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics (NTNU, Norway), he returned to CERN October 2020 as a doctoral student to continue to study timing aspects of silicon detectors.
