Eva studied physics at the University of Münster in Germany. During her master studies, she helped assemble and test the Transition Radiation Detector, TRD, of the ALICE experiment. In her doctoral studies conducted at CERN, Eva analysed first proton-proton collision data recorded with the ALICE experiment and worked towards establishing Geant4 as transport Monte Carlo for ALICE. As a CERN fellow in the Linear Collider detector group, Eva performed detector R&D for the Compact Linear Collider, CLIC, with an emphasis on highly granular calorimeters and on exploring the Higgs physics potential of CLIC. As CERN staff member in the Detector Technologies group, she is working on the HL-LHC upgrade of the CMS Endcap Calorimeter, HGCAL, where she co-coordinates the silicon sensor working group.
